Keep a routine
As far as routines go, I’m still getting up at my regular time, having my coffee, grabbing a quick bite to eat, taking a shower, getting dressed and getting to work as I always did. As far as what I wear on a daily basis, I’m either putting on a pair of jeans with a casual shirt or I’m wearing these All Day Everyday Pants from today’s sponsor Public Rec. I’m just not one to sit around in my pajamas all day and I don’t think I’ve ever been like that. What I like most about these pants, is they feel like pajamas but they look like nice trousers. If I’m gonna be sitting at my desk all day writing blog posts and scripts for these videos, I definitely want my pants to be comfortable, stretchy and breathable.
Comfortable doesn’t mean sloppy
Public rec was the first to offer tailored sizing on both the waist and the inseam of their pants. Their All Day Everyday Pants are their best-selling item and it’s easy to see why because they’re super stretchy and highly breathable. They come in waist measurements up to 44 and inseams up to 36. I encourage you to go check out what they have because they gave us a limited time discount code to use at checkout. I’ll put a special link and the discount code down below in the description and this is something that’s definitely worth checking out, especially right now.
I realize it’s difficult being stuck at home all the time, and it’s easy to fall into bad habits. But there’s just something that happens mentally when you get out of your pajamas and put on something at least halfway decent. It makes you feel a lot better. At least it does for me anyway. It’s like if I stayed in my pajamas and didn’t take a shower all day, I’d feel kinda gross and it would affect my mood and also my motivation and my productivity. Now, it doesn’t have to be a major thing like wearing a suit or a tie, but just leveling up one or two notches from pajamas can make a world of difference with how you feel. You’ll also look a lot better on those video calls that you’re hopefully making.
Wear nicer lounge wear
The other really cool thing about nice lounge-wear like this is once your work day is done, you can just commute to the couch and be just as comfortable without having to change into sweats or something. I’m also really liking this Politan Hoodie from Public Rec and I’m getting a lot of mileage out of it. It’s got a polyester spandex blend that makes it extremely comfortable. It has the traditional front pass through pocket, but it also has a side zipper pocket as well.
I also understand the opinion of; “Why do I need to get dressed up for anything if there’s nowhere to go?” And trust me, I can totally understand that. I’m just saying that for me personally, my productivity, my motivation and also my mood are affected by what I’m wearing and how that makes me feel overall. Now, I’m not living in denial of the current situation; I’m just trying to make the best of it and trying to see the glass as half full. And that’s what I want for you. It’s easy to get impatient and a little wound up and edgy right now because it seems like every time we turn on the news, it’s just more bad news. But gentlemen, this will pass. We will get through this and life will get back to normal just like it always has. It might be a different kind of normal or a new normal, but this will pass and we’ll all adapt.
These ideas work for me
Now obviously I don’t know your daily routine and what you need to get done on a daily basis, so all I’m really trying to do is provide ideas that work for me. And hopefully they work for you as well. Getting up in the morning, taking a shower, getting dressed and having something to do is very important for me right now. I want each and every one of you to stay healthy and not go completely crazy during this quarantine. Mental health and how we’re dealing with all this internally is another issue that isn’t really being talked about right now, but I guess that’s a subject for another video.
Avoid junk food
Guys, do what you can to make each day as tolerable as possible. Get up, get dressed and stay away from too much junk food because when all this is over, I’m telling you right now, we’re gonna see a skyrocket in gym memberships, just like we do after the new year. Guys, like I mentioned, hit the links down below in the description and go check out this stuff from public rec. Thanks for watching I appreciate it very much. I’ll see you in just a few days for a brand new video, but until then, live well, stay healthy and I’ll see you soon.
