In today’s quick video, I’m discussing 5 things I do to help keep my closet organized.
Wood hangers
First up, I use wood hangers. They’re longer and thicker so they don’t create shoulder bumps in your shirts. Since they’re thicker, they also help to keep the shape of your collar.
Use Trouser hangers
Next, I use padded trouser hangers for all of my pants. They have a nice padded rubber grip on them so your pants don’t slip off. Also, because they have a nice thick padding, you avoid getting the crease or dent in the side of your pant leg.
Organize by color
I also like to keep everything organized by order of color and formality. I keep all colors together so I’m not always searching for my favorite blue shirt. If it’s blue, they’re all together. Now maybe this next one is just me, but I like to have everything facing the same direction. This might just be my OCD, but it helps. Lastly, button the top button on your shirts. This helps keep the shape of the placket and also helps keep the color from getting dented or wrinkled.
