If you need a heads-up on what’s trendy this spring, don’t worry, I got your back.
There’s no mistaking it, micro-prints are in. You can be as daring or as conservative as you want while still being on-trend and current. I’ve seen floral prints around for a while, but they seem to be really taking off right now. Look to brands like Grandfrank and Cordone for doing bold floral micro-prints really well while remaining very tasteful.
For a more conservative pattern option, look to Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein and Express.
When shopping micro-prints, look for small repeating patterns like dots, squares, paisleys or checks. Be careful when mixing in a pattern tie with a micro-print shirt. It’s best to go with a solid tie, but if you want to go with a pattern tie, make sure the size & scale of the patterns are dissimilar.
If you’re not ready for a full-blown shirt, start with a micro-print tie. All major department stores should have lots to choose from.
