Untuckit Shirts – Have You Heard?

I’ve keep hearing about Untuckit shirts all over the internet through various menswear channels I follow and I’ve wanted to try them out for a long time.  But up until recently, I never had the opportunity to try them out in person.  They only have a few actual storefronts nationwide, so I made it a point to go visit their San Diego location at La Jolla Village while I was in town.

Just in case you haven’t heard about Untuckit, they make shirts in a few different fits that are designed to be worn un-tucked.  They’re cut shorter in the tails so they don’t hang down past your crotch like a standard dress shirt would when you wear it un-tucked.  Wearing a standard dress shirt un-tucked isn’t a good look for most guys because the shirts are so long it almost makes you look like you’re wearing a dress.  The Untuckit shirts are a perfect length for going casual with the un-tucked look.

The store was clean and well organized, and when we walked in, they offered us a whiskey tasting sample (nice touch).  They offer slim fits as well as regular fits.  The Performance line of shirts has a really soft, silky stretch fabric that’s super comfortable.  I went with a few Wrinkle Free shirts in regular fit because the slim fit cut fits slightly slimmer in the Wrinkle Free styles and just didn’t feel quite right for me.  The Regular fit cut worked out perfectly and is still trim fit.

I highly recommend checking them out if you’re near one of their storefronts.  They also have a good return & exchange program, so if you order off their web site and need to swap it for a different size, it’s no problem.  They even have options for women and kids!
