Gentlemen, it’s time for another chat about underwear. I wrote this article a while back about my favorite underwear trunks from Calvin Klein, but it’s time for an update. I’ve stumbled on my new personal favorite underwear brand; PULLIN and I wanted to let you know about them because your underwear does not have to be boring or uncomfortable
This is not a sponsored post of any kind. I just found a cool new thing and I wanted to share it with you guys. We were in the Gaslamp district of downtown San Diego recently visiting friends and browsing some local shops in the area. We went into this store and in the back with some menswear stuff, I saw these really interesting trunks hanging up. They had bold prints on them that looked almost like old photographs. I’ve never seen anything like it so I had to get a closer look.
They felt incredibly soft and had a ton of stretch. These were way softer feeling than my Calvins. This was on another level of material softness that I’ve never felt in underwear before. I had to have a pair. The printed patterns are bold, unique and individualistic.
The material is comprised of 87% Polyester and 13% Elasthanne Lycra. The combination of Italian-sourced fabrics make these ultra-soft and ultra-breathable. They’re also snug-fitting with rounded seams at the back for a more shapely bottom. These are technically called boxers, but they’re not as long as traditional boxers. The length falls somewhere in between a boxer brief and a trunk. I’m a trunk guy, but these felt and fit just fine with no ride-up issues whatsoever.
Here’s a snippet from their web site explaining more about the materials;
“Our fabrics come from Spain, Italy and Portugal. PULLIN undergarments use polyester, polymide and organic cotton fabrics affiliated to an elastane fiber. For polyester and polymide combinations, the elastane fiber is LYCRA® brand. LYCRA® is made of elastane fibers with unique stretch and elastic properties. It provides comfort and support as well as freedom of movement. Its durability is also unrivaled; it can stretch to seven times its initial length before going back to its original position. The cotton we use is made with 100% certified organic cotton yarn. It contains 95% organic fibers and 5% synthetic fibers (elastane), offering maximum comfort all day long.”
Once I wore them for the first time, I had to have more, so I jumped on line and ordered some. If you’re curious, I highly recommend getting at least one pair to try them out.
I’ll provide a few links to the styles I own, but feel free to search Amazon or the PULLIN site for more patterns. They also have solid colors and styles for women.
