Okay, So, I was looking back through my Amazon history for some pool filters I bought about a year ago, and seeing all the stuff I’ve ordered prompted me to make this blog post. Honestly, I don’t know if you guys are even interested in my Amazon history. But if nothing else, it might be entertaining and in some cases, a little revealing. If you’re interested in anything I mention in this video, as always, I’ll leave links down below.
OXO pop containers
One of the most recent orders were these OXO Pop Containers. I saw these in someone else’s house and thought there were the greatest thing since sliced bread. They come in all different sizes and you can get ‘em in square or round. They’re pretty substantial so they’re not gonna fall over when they start to get empty like some of the cheaper containers I’ve bought from Ikea. You can order these in 5 piece, 10 piece or 20 piece sets. Personally, the 10 piece set is the way to go because you WILL find uses for all of them, guaranteed.
OXO cereal containers
Along the same lines are these OXO cereal container sets. They match the other containers perfectly and they seal up great and they look cool, at least in my opinion. Besides eggs, bacon, pancakes and gravy biscuits, the little guy also likes his cereal for breakfast on occasion, and so do I. So these are perfect to keep filled with your favorite cereal, and you can always see how much you have left.
Drop-front shoe boxes
Okay, I need to admit, that this next item hasn’t been an actual purchase yet. But I have it in my ‘save for later’ and it’s these clear plastic drop front shoe boxes. I’ve got a plan to do a whole thing with a bunch of these things and put all my shoes in them, but they’re kind of expensive. So for now, I just look at ‘em from time to time and wish I had about 25 of them.
Bose speakers
Moving on to more purchases, I just bought these Bose speakers for my work station. I used to have a crappy sound bar underneath my monitor, but these things sound soooo much better with incredible bass. I can also plug in headphones and still control the volume with the knob on the speaker which is something my old sound bar didn’t do. And that was very annoying.
My favorite Underwear
Moving on to more revealing items, I recently ordered a bunch of new underwear. Now, I’ve tried lots of different underwear in my time, and I continue to try lots of different underwear because companies reach out and send them to me. Which I’m very thankful and appreciative for, “thank you very much underwear companies”! But for me, the Calvin Klein Steel Micro, low rise trunks are king of the hill. It’s what I reach for on a almost daily basis and it’s gonna take a special pair of chonies to get me to switch consistently.
Drawer dividers
Now, if you were paying attention, you noticed the drawer divider. They come in different colors and I got the 4-pack. They’re great for the underwear drawer or the sock drawer or even for separating your pocket squares or other accessories.
Sock drawer organizers
Since I just mentioned sock drawers, I just started using this sock organizer from Amazon just a few weeks ago. You can use it for socks or underwear. I found the compartments to be a little small for underwear, but perfect for socks. Since I live in a warm climate, I have a lot of no-show socks. These fold up perfectly, and I can easily see exactly what I have at a glance.
Timex California
The next purchase is only a few days old, and it’s the Timex California. I totally blame my pal George over at Gents Lounge for making me buy this. I saw him wearing one in a video quite a while ago and I’ve had it in my ‘save for later’ stash for a long time. Well, I finally just went ahead and bought it. Is it bright…? Yep. Is it loud…? Yep. Does it match my car….? Yep. Is it a watch you wear every day… ? Nope. Do I like it…? Heck yes. It’s just a fun casual, kick around watch!
External hard drives
I built a brand new computer a few months ago. And shortly afterwards, I bought a few of these 4TB, external hard drives from G-Tech. I have the entire life history of my blog on these. I still need to find a better long term, expandable storage solution, but for now, this is how I’m rolling. And yes, I do have another 8TB backup of these.
Wyze security cameras
Next up is the Wyze cameras. These little guys are so cool. They’re small, they work in the dark, they record audio and they allow you to monitor your home from anywhere in real time. You can even speak through it. You can set up alerts for movement or sound, and it’ll record that event so you can watch it back later.
Coffee maker
This last item is another ‘save for later’, and it’s this Technivorm coffee brewer. I used one in a Air B&B and really liked it. Now, I don’t know if it was this same exact brand, but it was brass and it looked identical to these on Amazon. I don’t have one yet, but maybe some day.
