Let’s take a look at what I currently own. As you can see, they’re all fairly inexpensive, quartz movement “fashion” watch brands. I think maybe the most expensive watch here cost about $200 or so. If you notice, I do lean more towards the minimalist design aesthetic, but I am feeling the need to branch out. This leads me to the whole reason for this post and the video. Please keep in mind this is not a sponsored video at all. Just like I tell you guys all the time; when I find something cool, I want to tell you about it.
So, the brand I want to tell you about is Undone, and there’s a lot to like about this watch brand.
It’s sits on my wrist pretty well with the case being 40mm wide and the strap is super soft and comfortable. I have somewhat small wrists, so it fits okay, but I wouldn’t mind if it was a little larger. The dive watch they have is larger at 45mm.
First off, everything is customizable. You can choose the case you want, the face design, the face color, the hand design, the hand color, you can even have the seconds hand a different color, you can choose the strap, you can choose to have a solid case-back or a glass case-back, and you can even have custom engraving on the case-back or your initials stamped on the face. It’s amazing actually the level of customizing you can do. The website is super cool and it’s actually pretty fun to sit there and design your very own custom watch using their customizer. If you don’t want to design your own, you can cruise through and check out some of their pre-designed styles and buy one you like.
Undone Watches was established in 2014 by its founder Michael Young. Michael is an experienced and well respected watch collector and an authorized high-end Swiss watch supplier and repair facility. The production of all UNDONE watches is made in-house, allowing their team to have full control over every aspect that goes into making these watches. Every watch is made-to-order in Undone’s facilities. Their in-house operations include research and development, components production, assembly, quality control and fulfilment. They use a “Hybrid Mechanical” movement which is a combination of typical Quartz with a mechanical module added for the sweep of the seconds hand. The seconds sweeps at 1/5th of a second which adds a more appealing sweep (in my opinion) than a hard tick every single second.
The quality is amazing for the price. Every detail is cared for and even up close, it’s hard to spot imperfections or areas where they cut corners to save cost. Another cool feature I like is all of the straps are quick release and don’t require any tools to change. Guys, go check out Undone and play with the website to customize your one watch design. They even have a dive watch, classic inspired designs and a really cool Mystique line.
