I want to start a series of videos that are short and straight to the point. I’m thinking between 2 and 4 minutes long. I get video ideas all the time and you guys even leave me suggestions. But a lot of the ideas I come up with aren’t enough a full length video. So I thought about just sitting in front of the camera and providing that one strand of value. It could be about anything really, so if you’re up for it, let’s start today.
So if you’re anything like me, your closet has a bunch of stuff in it that you never wear because it’s either too small, too big, or you don’t like the color, or just for whatever reason, you never reach for it. So, what I propose is to try on everything you own and evaluate it. If you haven’t worn it in over a year, donate it. If it doesn’t fit, donate it. If you just don’t like it, donate it. The objective here is to thin out your wardrobe to make your decisions on what to wear that day easier. Now, in order for this to work, you have to be honest with yourself.
If you ‘think you might wear it someday’, that’s not good enough. If you’re like me, you’ve been saying that for a year already. If you’re hanging on to stuff in case you drop 20 lbs, be realistic. Are you currently doing anything to lose those 20 lbs? If not, donate it, or at least take that stuff and put it in a storage tote somewhere outside of your closet and label it with your ideal weight.
Again, the idea is to try on every single thing you own in an effort to make your life easier. If those pair of pants are too tight, I know you’re not wearing them so why are they taking up space in your closet? Donate that stuff or put it in the storage tote.
Okay guys, I wanted to keep this straight to the point. If you have questions or comments, please talk to me down in the comments, because you know I read it. Be good to yourself and I’ll see you in a few days.
