Ahh… coffee. What is it about coffee that makes it so popular. Is it the addictive properties of caffeine? Is it the flavor? Is it the seemingly endless ways you can enjoy it? Is it the social aspect of “grabbing a coffee” with someone? Either way, it’s National Coffee Day, so grab a cup and stick around.
Since its National Coffee Day, let’s talk about coffee for a minute. Pop culture has glorified coffee for many years. Just look at popular TV shows like Friends who had Central Perk, Beverley Hills 90210 had the Peach Pit. Seinfeld had Monk’s Café, and Fraiser had Café Nrevosa. Like it or not, Coffee is a major part of millions of people every single day.
Oh, speaking of the TV show Friends.. coffeebean.com is celebrating National Coffee Day and they teamed up with Warner Brothers to release their tribute to Friends with coffee and tea. Could this “Be” any more cool? Get it? I saw it and had to try some, and it’s actually really good! This isn’t sponsored, but I’ll leave a link right here if you want to try some out. Like I said, it’s actually very tasty.
Did you know that (according to Wikipedia) Brazil became the largest producer of coffee in the world by 1852 and its held that title ever since? Brazil exported more coffee than the rest of the world combined, from 1850 to 1950. In the last few decades, Fair Trade coffee has become popular, but there seems to be some controversy about the effectiveness of fair trade and whether accurate records are kept.
Any way you slice it, coffee is huge. So tell me.. do you drink coffee? If so, let me know in the comments! Also, leave a comment and tell me how many cups a day you have. Personally, I have two cups in the morning, and every so often, I might have another one in the early afternoon. I try not to have coffee after 4:00, otherwise I just can’t get to sleep.
Anyway guys, hit the links to celebrate National Coffee Day with some really good coffee. I’m gonna get back to my coffee now. It was great chatting with you and I’ll see you in a few days for a new video. Bye for now.
