Okay, as promised, today we’re talking once again about manscaping. But this time we’ll be focusing on using a trimmer instead of a razor. About 6 weeks ago I made a video talking about manscaping and different techniques and areas where you can use an actual razor. In that video I promised to make another video, a Part 2 where I’d talk about using an electric trimmer. This is that video.
I’m going to go over the do’s and don’ts (at least in my opinion) when it comes to using a trimmer. And once again, if you’re offended by the subject of manscaping or the word penis, this video isn’t for you. Everything I talk about in this video is simply my opinion, so if you and your partner are happy with your body hair where it’s at, I fully support that. I’m not saying you have to do anything I talk about in this video, but if you’re curious, let’s get to it.
I use a small Norelco on my beard and mustache and for the nose hair attachment. I used to use it on my pubes, but it cut me every single time. Now, the best tool in my opinion is the Brio. I’ve talked about this before and this thing is the absolute best and most versatile grooming tool I’ve ever owned.
It gets all the way down to 1mm which is pretty close to skin level, and all the way out to 18mm with a guard attachment and everywhere in between using the different attachments. The battery life is ridiculously long and the blade is made of ceramic which makes it quiet, sharp and it also reduces friction & heat.
They sell out of these fast every time they run promotions, so if you’re interested in picking one up for yourself, use this link for an incredible discount. Like I mentioned, they sell these out, so if you want one, don’t wait.
So let’s start at the top and work our way down. I’ll use the Norelco foil razor for the back of my neck and my upper back & shoulders. I don’t have a ton of hair growth back there, but what is there, I like to keep under control. It’s super easy to use and it takes care of everything. I could use the Brio, but this is just easier.
Next, moving on to arms and armpits. I’ll hit my armpits without a guard because personally, I don’t want any hair poking out and I think it just looks cleaner. Then I’ll clip on the #2 guard and go over my arms. It’s weird, I don’t have much chest hair, but I do have super hairy arms and legs. If I didn’t manage it, it gets really long and unruly pretty quickly and in my opinion, it doesn’t look good.
Next, chest and stomach. In the last video I mentioned that I use a razor here, but you can also use the Brio. If you want to rock some chest hair and keep it under control, use the trimmer with whatever guard you want to keep it looking neat and tidy.
Okay, moving downtown now. Like I mentioned before, I shave my nuts and the base of my penis with a razor, but everything else gets handled with the Brio. For the pubic hair above the penis, I’ll use a #2 guard to take the bulk out, then remove the guard and go 1mm on the sides to make a small upside-down triangle. But if you’re more the racing stripe or landing strip guy, use the Brio without the guard to cut in whatever shape you like.
For my thighs and butt cheeks, I’ll go with no guard and a high rake height. From my knees down, I’ll use a #2 guard. I like my calves to have a little bit hair, so I’ll use the guard to take all the bulk out and keep it somewhat short. Maybe it’s my Italian heritage, but my arms and legs get super hairy, so using a trimmer keeps everything under control and looking nice, in my opinion.
So once again, if you want to jump on this Brio deal before they sell out, hit this link for the discount. I’ll see you in a few days for a brand new video, but until then, be good to yourself.
