We’ve all done it to some degree or another, right? You’ll get invited to someone’s house and when you use the bathroom, maybe you’re opening cabinets looking for more toilet paper or air freshener. So it’s fairly common for people to observe what you have. So, if they’re gonna look, let’s give them something to look at.
Masculine Candles
OK, the first thing that you need in your bathroom is a nice masculine smelling candle. Having a nice candle in your bathroom does multiple things. First, it just smells nice. And if people are going to be using your bathroom, it’s a good idea to keep a candle burning in there for obvious reasons. Other reason is that candles are somewhat unexpected in a man’s bathroom. But I’m telling you, there’s some amazing candles out there that that smell absolutely amazing and masculine for less than $20. You can spend more than that if you want to, but it’s not completely necessary.
Alexa, Google or a Speaker
The next thing I would recommend is an Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant or some sort of Bluetooth speaker. I use Alexa for music, top stories and news briefs when I’m in the bathroom. I also use it to listen to music when I’m in the shower because I’m one of those people that needs music when I’m in the shower.
For me, I use music to set the tone for the day. If I’m feeling more relaxed, I’ll put on some lofi beats or chill electronic. But if I want to be a little more energetic, I’ll go with some pop music like Bruno Mars, Justin Timberlake, or even some old throwback hair metal like Mötley Crüe, poison, or slaughter. And, if you have multiple connected devices, you can play the same music on every device throughout the entire house.
Shower Caddy / Shower Shelves
The next item I recommend is some sort of nice looking, high quality shower caddy. My shower is pretty small so I go with a hanging one. I might suggest avoiding the old school metal ones that hook on the shower head, and go with something like this instead. Or you can get some adhesive shelves from Amazon that look pretty nice as well. Because the last thing I want for you is to have all of your shower items on the floor. And even if you have a tub / shower combo, I might still recommend going with some type of a shelving system and get everything off of the edge of the tub. Because in my opinion, it just looks a lot nicer and cleaner.
Spade by Axle Glade
So, getting back to people using your bathroom and checking out your stuff, something like this will definitely get their attention because it looks cool and interesting, but nobody will know what it is. This is the Spade by Axle Glade, today’s sponsor, and it might be the coolest ear cleaning tool on the planet. This thing lets you see a clear view of what’s in your ear with a 3MPX camera that connects to any Android or iOS device. It lets you see and remove wax build up instead of jamming it further inside your ear.
There’s 6 tiny LED lights that light up your ear so you can see everything you’re doing. It’s also built incredibly well and it’s nice and heavy. This is not cheap plastic. It’s rechargeable and it comes with a beefy magnetic charging base. And it comes with a bunch of different super soft cleaning tips. Gentlemen, if you wanna grab one of these for yourself, they gave us a special discount code. Bathrobe
The next item you need for your bathroom is a nice bathrobe. I’ve never really been a bathrobe guy up until maybe six or eight months ago. I think I was just surfing Amazon one day and came across this Izod bathrobe, so I jumped on it. I like it because it’s not super big and fluffy where I get too hot wearing it. And the sleeves aren’t super long for me. The belt is also attached at the back, so you’ll never lose it.
I probably wear this thing for the first hour or so every morning when I’m making coffee and checking my overnight emails. I even featured it in a video thumbnail a few months back when I talked about my morning routine. It was pretty inexpensive, and it goes through the washer and dryer very easily.
USB Power Outlets
OK, circling back to electronics for a second. Just about everything now is either Bluetooth or rechargeable via standard USB. The problem is having all those silly bricks that plug into a standard outlet. My solution is installing an outlet like this in your bathroom. It’s got two standard outlets as well as two standard USB outlets. This way I’m never trying to find an empty outlet or a power brick to charge up my Bluetooth speaker, or my trimmer, or my phone, my Spade, or anything else you can think of. If you’re even slightly handy, it’s a pretty easy installation.
Drawer & Cabinet Organizers
OK, now I want to talk about a little bit of organization because your bathroom better be clean and tidy especially when you have new friends over. Amazon sells a ton of different drawer organizers in all shapes and sizes, so I would encourage you to take a look at your medicine cabinet, your drawers, and your larger cabinets and shelves and get some storage bins and organization trays to help keep all your similar items together and to keep everything else looking nice and tidy. As I mentioned before in other videos, I like clean surfaces. So the more I can tuck things away somewhere, the better. But then the problem is organizing everything that you tucked away. Small trays and bins are definitely the way to go.
Bathmat
Next, you definitely want some type of nice quality rug or bathmat. One thing I hate about staying in hotels is the average hotel room bathroom doesn’t have a bath mat. And I hate stepping on a tile floor when I’m fresh out of the shower. To me it’s gross and way too slippery. So I end up wasting one of the hotel towels by putting it on the floor. Get yourself something for your bathroom that is fairly large, nice looking, and comfortable to stand on barefoot. They have some memory foam mats that are pretty sweet, but try to find something that matches the decor in your bathroom without being too bold and overpowering for your space. Because if you’ve got a new overnight guest, they will definitely appreciate your clean shower, and also your bath mat.
Quality Towels
One more thing that your new friend will appreciate is your nice quality towels. If you have towels in your bathroom that you’ve had for more than five years and you’ve used them so much that they’re almost see through, maybe put those out in the garage and get some brand-new high-quality towels for your bathroom. Your overnight guests do not want to use your old crusty towels with spots and stains and threads hanging everywhere. Do yourself, and them a favor by getting some fresh new towels.
Digital Scale
This brings us to the next piece of technology in your bathroom and that’s a nice new scale. Yes, you can use an old analog style scale, but the new digital scales with body analyzers are pretty amazing. You can get scales that tell you your bone density, water weight, and body fat percentage as your overall weight all the way down to the 10th of a pound. And, if you’re on a fitness routine or trying to get healthier, a lot of these scales will even have an app for your phone that will keep track of your progress over time.
