Boots are a great way to project masculinity
Personally, I love me a good pair of boots. Boots are a great way to project masculinity, leadership, and of course, the few inches of extra height doesn’t hurt a guy like me who’s under 6-foot. However, as you know, there’s several different categories of boots. And at least in my opinion, some are a little more appropriate than others for a nice evening out.
You don’t have to wear your work boots
Now, depending on you and your lifestyle, you might wear boots every single day. But that doesn’t mean you can’t step it up a little bit on those nights out when you want to make a good impression. If boots are your thing and you wear ‘em a lot, that’s totally fine. But you don’t have get stuck wearing work boots or hiking boots because that’s what you normally wear or that’s all you have. Look at it this way, work boots and hiking boots are a tool. They’re just as important as any other tool in your toolbox when you’re doing that particular thing. You’re probably not wearing flip flops to the job site or wearing hiking boots to the beach. That also means you’re not wearing your steel toes on a date or a nice night out, because there are other options.
Thursday Boot Company
Some of those options I’d like to show you are coming from today’s sponsor, Thursday Boot Company. Personally, I’m a huge fan of Thursday Boots and I have several pair. They offer the lowest, direct-to-consumer prices on goodyear welt boots made with premium USA leather. These Boots are designed for guys who understand quality and don’t want to pay a high retail mark-up for boots that are built to last and also look incredible.
I own three Chelsea’s
Among my Thursday Boot collection, I currently have 3 Chelsea Boots from them. A dark brown Duke model that I made a video about a few months ago, and a dark olive suede Duke and a shadow grey suede Cavalier that I’ve been wanting to get for a long time. These are all versatile boots that you can wear with just about anything. The duke is a bit more substantial and has more of a heritage boot design, while the Cavalier is a bit more streamlined a sleek – like a well-made dress shoe. These are all great options and you can’t go wrong with any of them.
If you’re looking for a high quality chelsea boot, or really any boot that’s comfortable, durable, and versatile at the lowest direct to consumer price out there. Thursday Boots has you covered. Chelsea boot history
Okay, before I get into showing the look options, here’s a little history on the Chelsea boot. Chelsea boots date back to the mid-1800’s when Queen Victoria wanted a boot made without laces to make riding horses easier. They became popular in equestrian circles and they were worn by both women and men. It wasn’t until about the 1950’s and 60’s when they picked up popularity in the UK because they were being worn by The Beatles and The Rolling Stones. They’ve remained mostly unchanged in design with the tell-tail characteristics of having these elastic side panels and a pull tab at the back.
I showed this in video a few months ago because, these suede Chelsea Boots are unique in that they’re made with Thursday Boot’s proprietary “WeatherSafe™ Suede” which prevents water from penetrating the leather — keeping your feet dry on rainy days or when stepping through puddles. Okay, make sure to watch the video up above to see a few different ways you can style boots for a nice night out. I hope you liked this one and I hope to see you again in a few days for a brand new post!
